How do you work? Many of my paintings begin with an initial sketch based on direct observation of the subject. This sets up the right elements of the composition. The picture is then completed in my studio using reference photographs taken at the time of the sketch. Where time and distance make this impossible I will work directly from photographs, although the intention is never to attempt to reproduce the photograph.

What will it cost? This will depend on the size and materials, but typically an A4 gouache painting (21cm x 30cm) would be around £100.

How long will it take? Once I know what it is you are looking for I will be able to give you an estimate of when it will be completed. For an A4 gouache painting this should be within two weeks.
